Brian Finkelstein's tone during this podcast was very interesting. Just with his tone he made the whole podcast from the very beginning very enjoyable to listen to. He sounded like a comedian even though he was speaking about a very serious subject he had experienced. His tone is silly, funny, and even mocking at times. I think this made the whole podcast more interesting. Personally his tone was the one that grabbed my interest at first, and then later the serious story he told us about is what kept my interest. The way he used his tone made this heavy story a little bit more easy to listen to.

This podcast taught me something I did not know and that is that in order to get help from a suicide prevention hotline you need to clearly ask for help. If someone asks me do I agree with this policy, at first I would say definitely not. My first response to this would be that the person answering the phone should not be waiting for the other person to ask for help because then it might be too late. If they ask for help too late, then the person on the phone or 911 might not get there on time. The more and more I think about this policy I get more and more controversial about it. I am starting to think that there is actually some sense in this whole policy. Maybe the reason it exists is because if people knew that someone would stop them from committing suicide and they are planning on committing it, then why would anyone call? In another situation let's say someone might call while planning on committing suicide and then the person on the phone calls 911 and they do safe the person on time. That person might be furious and a few days later try again but this time without calling anyone. This two scenarios make me think that this policy makes sense in the bigger picture.

The content of this podcast does not have much to do with the research paper I am currently writing. The form of it though is a whole different story. I can say that the form has something to do with the research paper. The form of the podcast is very informal but at the same time it is talked about something very serious. I would be presenting my research paper by using a little more serious and strict form than this podcast used. Even though my paper and this podcast will sound different they both try to put across something serious, and something that matters.
