Respond to: Choosing a genre to compose in

My purpose with my research is to give more information to people about the College of Criminology at Florida State University. More specifically I would like to show them what are the requirements to get in this college as a PhD student. The genres I have chosen as of now are PowerPoint, flyers, and social media (instagram).

I expect my audience to not be very familiar with my research, with the exception of maybe students who have Criminology as their major. My audience might make the assumptions that to get in this college the requirements would be exactly the same as to get in any Criminology college in the nation.

One of the ways to connect with the audience would be by letting them know how important this specific field has become lately, and how much needed in our society. I would try to use persuasive strategy in my composition. My favorite genre for composing would probably be a PowerPoint since I am the most familiar with it.
